Designed for those new to the kitchen, or those who simply want to learn more about cooking and brush up on basic techniques, this 3 part series will improve your kitchen confidence and skills in no time! You’ll learn basic knife skills, how to choose kitchen equipment, stock the pantry and refrigerator with the essentials, and use them to create simple, delicious meals. You’ll learn a myriad of cooking techniques such as poaching, sautéing, braising, frying, baking, roasting, boiling, searing, emulsifying, creating reductions, pressure cooking and brining as you prepare dishes such as:
• Herb Roasted Chicken
• Chicken Stock
• Deviled Eggs
• Seared Steak Sandwiches
• Oven Poached Fish
• Roasted Asparagus
• Braised Cabbage
• Shrimp and Grits
• Mixed Baby Greens with Vinaigrette
• Pasta with Caramelized Onion and Sautéed Mushroom Cream Sauce
• Vegetable and White Bean Soup (Beans in Pressure Cooker)
• Pan Fried Pork Chops (Brined)
• Gravy (Roux)
• Mashed Potatoes
• Fruit Cobbler
